The 19th annual Grandparents As Parents (GAP) conference is Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the Embassy Suites, 1801 Newtown Pike in Lexington, KY (NEW LOCATION). Grandparents, relatives, kinship caregivers and professionals are invited to attend.
There are two presentations from national trauma expert Beth Tyson, “The Impact of Trauma and Loss in Kinship Families” and “Understanding Ambiguous Loss and How to Help Your Grandchild Recover.”
The conference also includes:
· 8 Breakout Workshops on topics such as legal issues, grief, media/technology, vaping/addiction, kinship benefits, and more!
· Free Resources
· Free Legal Consultations with an Attorney
· Resource Fair
· Lunch
The conference is $10 for grandparents/relatives and $50 for professionals (Social Work CEUs and FRYSC Training Hours provided).
